Recently the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) released a warning to investors that investment advertising is not always true to label.  You can read their full statement in the attachment below.

With term deposit rates falling a number of firms have started to advertise fixed income producing products as term deposit alternatives, without disclosing that the investment risk of these funds may be higher.
